Is it true that if we ask God anything in Jesus’ name, we will receive it?  Really?  Anything?  What does “in the name of Jesus” really mean?  As believers, the name of Jesus is equivalent to salvation, eternal life, love, joy, truth, peace, and harmony.  So, when we ask for something in Jesus’ name, perhaps our prayer is more about what we want, what we think we need, or what we own rather than what God does. Maybe the answer to our prayer is in our consent to respond to the insistent calling of God in our lives, which brings us to ask in Jesus’ name in the first place.  What if our humble gift of voicing the name of Jesus is our truest prayer and the ultimate and absolute answer to all that we could ever want or need?
